You'll Be Singing Along To The 'Ingobernable' Theme

"So no one told you life was gonna be this way *four claps*." "Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got." "Thank you for being a friend." At least one of those phrases should've made you start singing, because TV theme songs have an infectious way of getting memorized and permanently stuck in your head. Maybe it's the repetition, maybe it's the shortened jingle-like length, whatever the reason, theme songs stick around. And the new Netflix series premiering on Friday, March 24, Ingobernable, has a theme song that you won't be able to shake after marathoning the first season.

Ingobernable's dizzying opening sequence of lovers embracing and falling in a dreamy red sea — or is it air? — against dramatic images teasing the series is mesmerizing. And with every episode, the desire to sing along increases, which proves difficult if you don't speak Spanish. (Is anyone else having flashbacks to Narcos' catchy opening credits?) So, what is this song? Where can you find it?

The song is called "Me Verás," which means "you will see me," and is performed by La Santa Cecilia, a prolific Mexican-American band based in Los Angeles. The group has released six albums, the most recent being Buenaventura in 2016. "Me Verás" isn't available online at the time of publication, but Netflix did confirm to Bustle that La Santa Cecilia created the song specifically for the Ingobernable, so fans should be excited to hear new music.

Hopefully, "Me Verás" will soon be available to download with the rest of La Santa Cecilia's music so that we can keep listening long after watching the Ingobernable season finale.
