The $445 Dress Is Made Out Of Two Pairs Of Jeans
Lately, the denim trend has taken a serious turn. Honestly, I'm not sure if it's for the better or worse. There have been clear-knee mom jeans and pants made out of plastic, but this is outfit is a little different. As Cosmopolitan discoverd, designer 6397 made a dress out of two pairs of jeans. You have to see this high-end item to believe it, and the Internet doesn't know what to think.
Forget everything you know about style, because this is the jean-on-jean trend like you're never seen before. At first glance, this might look like your classic denim dress, but it's actually made out of two pairs of jeans. Yes, you read that correctly. The first pair is upside down on the front, and the second is in the same position on the back. The rest of the fabric was used to fill in the missing pieces to make it wearable.
Believe it or not, this quirky trend will cost you some serious cash. Although the dress is made out of everyday materials, the 2 Jean Dress designed by 6397 will set you back $445. As Teen Vogue points out, the description on the Shopbop website reveals that the quirky denim piece has the original waistbands from the jeans "left intact, with the closures forming adjustable slits at the front and back." Unfortunately, you won't be able to store anything in the upside-down pockets.

If you're not sure about this new sartorial creation, you're not alone. The Internet doesn't know what to think about the dress, either. While some people have bold feelings about the look, others are just generally confused.
All in all, I think the dress really is pretty wearable. I'm not sure why you'd need a zipper in the front and the back, but it does fit like your typical design. The only downside is the high price point, but, if you get a little crafty, you could definitely make this yourself for less.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see which celebrities hit the street in this one. Who knows what denim trend will come next! Until then, here's a look at how the fabric has progressed in 2017.
1. Clear Knee Mom Jeans
Topshop Clear Knee Mom Jeans, $95, nordstrom.com
It all seemed to start with the clear-panel jeans that took the Internet by storm. They're a mix between edgy and confusing.
2. Dirty Jeans
PRPS Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans, $425, nordstrom.com
Believe it or not, this style is actually sold out.
3. Clear "Jeans"
MOTO Clear Plastic Straight Leg Jeans, $61.70, topshop.com
This was the weirdest one yet, IMO. Apparently people like it, because they're completely sold out on the Topshop website.
I don't know how a trend could get more interesting than this, but I can't wait to find out.
