When shopping online for things like shoes, you have to be extra careful and precise with details so that you purchase the proper size. You can't try them on, so you can't be capricious. Nothing sucks more than snagging a sought-after shoe, like the Rihanna Puma Creeper and trying it on, only to find it pressing uncomfortably against your big toe or having so much extra room that you could fit another couple of toes inside.
Puma and Rihanna are releasing the first Creeper drop of 2017. The shoes arrive on Thursday, Apr. 6 at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT. There is an update — the white pair is smooth leather with a black stripe and heel detail, while the all-black pair rocks a cool and cracked, patent leather effect.
It's a new year and the Creeper is enjoying a new texture, but the same rad silhouette. If you are planning to shop the Puma Creepers, what size should you buy?
This is the formula to follow — buy a pair that is true to size.
While the brand recommends purchasing a size down with the Rihanna Puma Slides, due to those particular shoes being so roomy, you should grab the Puma Creepers in your normal shoe size, because the kicks run true to size.
I bought a pair of the slides one size smaller than usual. They are comfy and really roomy. If I had purchased them in my usual size, they'd be way too big.
As for the sneakers, you don't need to tinker or do a bunch of calculations to figure it out. Sizing is simple and normal.
I have purchased several pairs of the Creepers in my usual sneaker size and they fit like a dream.
The Creepers do take a few weeks to break in and you might get a callous or two, as I did on the side of my big toe. But that's easily treatable via a pedicure.
But once you wear the kicks often and work them into a decent shoe groove, the Creepers are super comfy and there's no more friction.
Good luck shopping the new edition of the Puma Creepers in leather fabrics this week.
