Pat McGrath's Dark Star 006 Smoky Eye Sets Are Coming

It's time for a #ByeMoney moment, brought to you courtesy of mega brilliant makeup artist Pat McGrath. Pat McGrath's Dark Star 006 Collection is the latest addition to her makeup line and it's a maj, interstellar take on the eternally in style smoky eye. McGrath has built her reputation by creating epic runway and editorial (as in the pages of fashion mags) looks that aren't always practical IRL nor do they always translate to everyday wear!

However, McGrath has been bringing her statement glamour to the masses via her eponymous brand for the past two years or so. While smoky eyes never go out of style, they do morph and evolve. The smoked out eye is a core look that is usually easy to do because it's slightly imperfect and therefore mistakes are encouraged, welcomed, and left "as is."

Now, the famed MUA is offering a thoroughly McGrathian take on the smoky eye with three kits — one base set and two with an additional color option.

When is Pat McGrath's Dark Star 006 Collection available to buy?

All three of the Pat McGrath Dark Star 006 sets cruise onto the official Pat McGrath site on Tuesday, Apr. 11. Now is the time to create a reminder or alarm clock in your phone so you can nab these smoky eye kits on that date.

Here is why you will want to drop coin on Dark Star 006. Each of the three kits contains the same six items, with two of the kits adding a pigment. Dark Matter is the "base" kit featuring six pieces and costs $95.

Dark Matter is a tech noir smoky eye kit that includes the Dark Matter, Astral White, and Mercury pigments, as well as the holographic Cyber Clear Eye Gloss, a Black SmudgeLiner Stick, and a Blender Brush.

UltraViolet Blue is a smoky eye kit with seven pieces. It has all of Dark Matters' elements, plus one.

UVB adds the long-wear, highly intense, and bright cobalt crushed Tanzanite pigment to the lineup that already features Astral White, Mercury, and Dark Matter pigments, the clear eye gloss, the SmudgeLiner Stick, and the Blender Brush. UVB will cost you $130.

There is also the UltraSuede Brown kit, which adds the UltraSuede Brown pigment. USB boasts a velvet x velour texture which sounds absolutely divine. It's also $130.
