Jon Stewart Fangirls Over Amy Schumer, Too

Two of the greatest comedy minds currently living sat together on Monday, and it was a wonder to behold. Jon Stewart interviewed Amy Schumer on The Daily Show, and the conversation covered Amy's possible takeover of the show, but mainly focused on her friendship and Hamptons vacation with Jennifer Lawrence, with a brief mention of the Lafayette shooting and her gun control initiative in between. So, basically, they went to a lot of verbal places over the course of a single interview.

Schumer discussed when and how she learned about the tragic shooting at a movie theatre showing her her film in Lafayette, Louisiana. Joking that, when she first received a call, she was worried that a sex tape of her was leaked, she then got serious when she said that the news she got was much, much worse. "That news, it broke my heart. I was like, legit heartbroken," she said. "To hear that news, it broke my heart... It was so horrible."

A beautiful moment happened on the show when Stewart fangirled over Schumer just like we do every day. "I think your comedy is informed, it comes from a place of real intention. A show like this would have been so good for you," he said, "But I didn't see your movie at that point. F*ckin A — Boy, did you make the right... You're like an actress star."

Schumer was indeed offered The Daily Show, but decided to focus on other challenged and movie projects. According to Stewart, she made the right call. He is just as excited to see Schumer as a full-on movie star as we are. Schumer also explains how the epic jet ski photo with J. Law came to be, because J. Law, too, is a huge fan. But Stewart and J.
