Miley Cyrus Covers 'Marie Claire' September Issue

by Dana Reszutek

Another day, another September issue cover announcement. Miley Cyrus covers Marie Claire's big fall fashion issue, and although her look makes a statement, it's a little different than the star's go-to style.

Cyrus, who shared the cover on her Instagram account Saturday, noted that the interview inside the issue is about the singer's Happy Hippie Foundation, which combines music with awareness efforts to help homeless youth and support the LGBT community. It's only fitting given that Cyrus has been openly discussing her own gender and sexuality identity. Marie Claire is giving the star and her important cause some much-needed positive attention.

The pop star been doing a lot of good recently by speaking out on vital issues, and she also seems to be changing up her style quite a bit, going for something a bit more on the sophisticated side than what we're used to seeing. Sporting a unique, sleeveless dress adorned with rhinestones, pearls, and other shiny embellishments, the host of this year's VMAs is definitely erring on the side of elegance with an edgy twist on this cover. I, for one, am definitely loving her look. Paired with a slicked-back bob and some intense eye makeup, Cyrus is definitely giving off some major high-fashion vibes.

I hope this new sophisticated Cyrus is here to stay. Check out the Marie Claire September issue below.
