The Kardashians have landed, and this time, it's in Armenia. If you were on Instagram in April of this year, you might have noticed that there was an influx of trip photos posted by the Kardashians for a very special trip back to the family's homeland, Armenia. Naturally, the Kardashian's trip to Armenia will be featured on the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Judging by photos from the Kardashian Armenia trip, it appears the adventure was very gratifying and important for the sisters (and family), who were able to reconnect with their culture and heritage. (And also, Yeezy got to play in a lake.) While the photos probably don't encapsulate the entire trip, we're sure to see more of their journey when Keeping Up With the Kardashians returns.
The Kardashians visited Armenia at a very important time for the country. April of this year marked the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, when over 1.5 million Armenians were killed. It's evident, through photos, that while it was nice to visit and take in the sights of Armenia, it was also a bit of a commemorative trip, allowing the Kardashians to pay their respects of such a historic time for the country.
Here are some of the best photos on the Kardashian's trip to Armenia.
They Made Their Family Proud
There's no doubt that the Kardashians' family would be proud that they're reconnecting with their heritage.
It Was A Family Affair
Kanye and North came along on the trip, too. The time spent in Armenia was followed by time in Jerusalem, where North was baptized.
They Honored Past Armenian Women
Kim makes a point to explain that Armenia's Mother Armenia honors the strong women of the country, which is pretty awesome if you ask me.
They Spend Time With Their "K" Cousins
Yup, it's a family "thing," obviously.
They Met Important People
According to Kim's Instagram caption, the Prime Minister of Armenia was proud that they (the Kardashians) are proud of where they come from.
They Explored The Country
Kim, Kanye, and North went to an Armenian monastery to light a candle, certainly a moving experience for all.
They Paid Their Respects
Because the Kardashians were in Armenia around the time of the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, the sisters visited the museum to pay their respects.
Kanye Performed In A Lake
Kanye also did a little bit of work while in Armenia... he had a free concert for fans in Swan Lake. Things got wet.
For A TON Of People
I'm v. envious of these concert-goers.
Khloe Was Surrounded By Flowers
Judging by the photos posted from this trip, I'd say Kim, Khloe, Kanye, and North's journey to Armenia was very educational, meaningful, and special for the family. We'll hopefully hear more about the importance of their trip when Keeping Up With the Kardashians travels to Armenia.
