7 Literary Adult Coloring Books

by Amy Sachs

In case you've (somehow!) missed the latest trend, coloring books are back in full force. What used to be thought of as a way to entertain little kids is now the absolute best way to unwind at the end of a long day, relax, and take your mind off of, well, everything! I mean, Johanna Basford's Secret Garden and Enchanted Forest coloring books didn't outsell Harper Lee for nothing, after all!

Now, when you go to your local Barnes and Noble, there are entire sections and tables dedicated to coloring books for adults. The possibilities are actually endless when it comes to coloring. Want to color animals? You can. People? Go for it! There are even ugly sweater coloring books, because Christmas is right around the corner. It's a way to be crafty without the mess and glue, and it's a way to unwind that costs you almost nothing.

And of course, because there really is a coloring book for everyone, there are coloring books that bookworms will fall in love with, too. It was really only a matter of time before things as hugely popular as Harry Potter and Game of Thrones had coloring books all their own. Even Marvel is getting in on the coloring book action!
