7 Last Minute Sexy Halloween Costumes

by Jessica Thomas

As a girl in my office said today, Halloween is the one night a year you can truly be something you're not. Want to wear something loud and flashy when you're normally a neutral person? You totally can! And if you want to wear something sexy, more power to you. These last minute sexy Halloween costumes will save you if you're crunched for time.

Yes, it would be nice if we all had our Halloween costumes planned out months in advance. It would also be nice if I had enough time to wash my hair more than twice a week, but as the Rolling Stones sang, you can't always get what you want. If you've been swamped with work or school and still want to dress to impress on Halloween, these seven sexy Halloween costumes will come together in a flash.

Most of them use items you already have in your closet, and you'll only have to make a quick stop at a costume store to pick up some last minute accessories (or DIY them yourself at home, if that's more your jam!). The bonus is there's still a few weeks until Halloween, so there's plenty of time to order any of these items online without paying a premium for shipping.

Here are seven of my favorite quick and easy Halloween ideas.

1. A More Covered Up Playboy Bunny

Halter Catsuit, $38, americanapparel.com

Bunny Ears and Tail, $3.99, blockbustercostumes.com

With the news of Playboy no longer publishing nude photos, the ordinarily short and revealing iconic costume could use this more covered-up update. That doesn't make it any less sexy, however. With this black bodysuit, some black heels, and of course the classic ears and tail, you'll be ~feeling yourself~ all night.

2. Risky Business

Button-Down Shirt, $39.99, urbanoutfitters.com

Lace Push-Up Bra, $24.99, hm.com

Wayfarer Sunglasses, $5.99, walmart.com

This costume might not seem sexy when you first see it, but wearing an oversized white button-down can be surprisingly foxy. Borrow one from your boyfriend or brother, or hit up your local Goodwill to find a cheap one. Then, add a sexy lace bra underneath to feminize it. Top off the look with classic black Wayfarers.

3. Duct Tape Anything

Duck Tape, $5.49, shurtechstore.com

Have a few rolls of duct tape? You have a costume. Grab a group of friends and dress up as beer bottles, Taco Bell hot sauce packets or whatever your heart desires. This tutorial will teach you the basics, but all you really need to do is wear a bodycon dress and wrap yourself in tape. Then, glue or tape on the logos you want to wear.

4. Toga

Grecian Crown Headband, $22.39, asos.com

Lace Up Gladiator Sandals, $34, missguidedus.com

The trick to a perfect toga is to avoid using sheets (seems counterintuitive, right?) and to pay attention to the details. A sheet will be totally baggy, so you'll want to pick up a few yards of fabric from a local craft store. Wrap it to your heart's desire (crop tops and cut-outs, anyone?), then add a gold crown and some lace-up sandals to complete the look.

5. Regina George

Merona Women's Favorite Tank, $10, target.com

Hanes T-Shirt Bra, $34, macys.com

Such a classic and easy look, am I right? Grab your shortest flippy skirt, a bright colored bra and a simple white tank top. Make sure your scissors are sharp, then cut holes in the boob region. You'll be channeling Mean Girls in no time.

6. Sexy Animal

Mouse Ears, $4.99, spirithalloween.com

Tiger Ears and Tail, $11.99, trendyhalloween.com

Giraffe Ears and Tail, $10.99, halloweencostumes.com

Channel your inner Karen from Mean Girls if you're really pressed for time. Put on a bodycon dress or some lingerie and throw on any animal ears you can find. My personal favorites are the giraffe ears.

7. Sexy Zombie

Deluxe Zombie Makeup Kit, $4.99, partycity.com

All you need for this costume is a little bit of fake blood. You can wear absolutely anything you want and transform it into a zombie-fied version. From your favorite celebrity to your favorite Disney Princess, all you have to do is add a little bit of blood and boom — you're a sexy zombie.

There's a time and a place for modest Halloween costumes, but if you want to rock the sexy look this year, I've got you covered.
