Here's What Aaron Carter Looks Like Now

by Kadeen Griffiths

Ah, the '90s and early '00s. It was a time of boy bands and grunge clothes that we all cringe to look at now. The '90s was also the time that we all got invited to Aaron's Party and watched as Aaron Carter wooed Lizzie McGuire (and, off screen, wooed Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan simultaneously). That's right. Those of us who weren't putting up pictures of Nick Carter and the rest of the Backstreet Boys — and some of us who were — were putting up pictures of Aaron Carter. I mean, not only did he throw Aaron's Party, but he also beat Shaq. The boy had some talent. But it has been over a decade, we've all grown up, and so has the younger Carter brother. So what does Aaron Carter look like now?

Although he's not quite enjoying the level of fame that he was when his breakthrough album, Aaron's Party (Come Get It) came out in 2000, Carter has kept steadily working over the past 15 years, and has maintained an active Twitter feed for people who want to keep track of his various movements. Sure, there was that awkward moment where he tried to convince Duff to get back together with him, despite the fact that they hadn't talked in years. And, sure, there was that awkward moment where he joined Drake Bell in making fun of Justin Bieber, much to the displeasure of the Beliebers. However, we all have our hiccups, and, aside from those, Carter has mostly flown under the radar to those who weren't already fans. Thus, there might be some people out there who have no idea what he looks like now.

First, refresh your memory of the moment you first saw this bright eyed young pop star.

As for now? Well...

This Is Carter When He's Tired

If you're thinking that Carter grew up to look a lot like his brother, then you are absolutely right. But it's good to know that there isn't a star out there who doesn't enjoy a nice, black and white bed selfie.

He Takes Selfies Just Like Us

Speaking of selfies, this happened. You're welcome.

And He Was On Dancing With The Stars

What a coincidence! Nick Carter is also on Dancing With The Stars in current Season 21, in a rare case of the older brother following in their younger brother's footsteps.

Looks Like He Beat Us To It

So, yeah, Aaron Carter doesn't look quite how we remember him looking, but that's not a bad thing. It's great to see that not only is he still actively performing, but that he's also connecting with fans via Twitter, maintaining a sense of humor, and flooding us with pictures so we can look at them and take a trip down memory lane. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to listen to "That's How I Beat Shaq."
