Kim Kardashian Is A Date Night Style Pro

by Kali Borovic

When it comes to dating, getting dressed can be the most stressful part for all parties involved. After all, you make a first impression with your outfit. No one's date night style is better than Kim Kardashian's date night style. Sure, she might overdress for many occasions, but she always manages to look flawless. We could all learn a thing of two from Kim K and Kanye's couple style.

Although my date nights tend to include sitting at home watching movies and not going to red carpet events, I have taken some tips from Kardashian over the years. Whether her night consists of sitting front row to support Kanye's design endeavors or walking arm-in-arm with her hubby down to the movie theatre, she always goes out dressed to the nines. She's going to rock whatever outfit she's wearing, regardless of the occasion or how Kanye is dressed.

I like to adopt a similar attitude when getting dressed for special nights out. My boyfriend could generally not care less what I wear 98 percent of the time. I might not be dating Kanye West, but I actually am dating a Chad West, which is kind of the same, right? Honestly, our significant others shared last name is just about the only thing Kim K and I have in common when it comes to dating.

1. Field Date

Kim's Version

Kardashian looked flawless for her date night-turned-marriage proposal on the San Francisco baseball field. She opted for high heels and a short dress.

My Version

My field look was a bit less high glamour. Since my boyfriend plays for University of Cincinnati, I choose tennis shoes and jeans for my post-game date night.

2. Dinner & A Movie Date

Kim's Version

Kanye surprised his wife with a night at the movies for her most recent birthday. Kardashian decided to wear an all-nude outfit consisting of strappy heels and a tight boy-con dress. Totally normal.

My Version

When I hear dinner and a movie, I instantly think leggings. So I didn't look as dressed up as Kardashian, but I was comfy in the freezing movie theatre.

3. Formal Date

No one does formal better than Kardashian. She went all out with this belly-bearing gown and it paid off.

My Version

I haven't been on a super formal date since we went to homecoming together, but that's completely fine with my because I hate wearing heels. We did look rather dapper in our matching black and white outfits though.

4. Late-Night Date

Kim's Version

After a long night attending a gala, Kardashian slipped into something a little more comfortable (*wink wink*) and met West for a dinner date. She did look gorgeous in this caped gown and matching choker, though.

My Version

For late night dinner and drinks, I choose a blue max-dress with a jean jacket. I even got him to put on jeans for once, so this was a big style night for the both of us.

5. Front-Row Date

Kim's Version

Kardashian sat front row to support Kanye during fashion week, and her style didn't disappoint. She rocked an all-nude outfit from his line and had subtle makeup to match.

My Version

My front row is a little less glamorous, but I was there to support my boyfriend during his big game. I wore a baseball hat, flannel and white shorts to watch some football and meet up with him after the game.

Someday I will look just as flawless as Kardashian does, but for now I'm going to settle for my leggings and jean jackets. When paparazzi starts stalking my date nights, then we'll talk.
