I love most things to do with the holidays, but I have a super soft spot reserved particularly for festive decorations and holiday themed ornaments. Some are so delightful that it's difficult to pack them away again and other holiday decorations look good enough to wear. Decorating your home is so exciting and really gets you in the holiday spirit; just pop some Christmas carols on and have a glass of mulled wine and you'll be feeling festive in no time.
I'd heard of fashion designers creating holiday decorations before, such as jewelry label Georg Jensen's Christmas ornament line, but I was astounded to hear the news about who had a hand in decorating the White House this year. According to CBS News, Carolina Herrera decorated the China Room. CBS News reported, "The China Room boasts an eight-foot tree, one of 62 total trees in the White House, and is adorned with Kailua Blue ribbons to represent the signature color featured on the Obama China Service. A center table in the room is draped in navy plaid and features boxes wrapped in red Carolina Herrera fabrics." Wouldn't it be dreamy for Herrera to put a festively fashionable spin on your home?
