Which Dior Gown Will J. Law Wear to the Oscars?

by Rosie Narasaki

Christian Dior just held their annual Spring Couture runway show, so you've got to wonder: Will Jennifer Lawrence wear new Dior at the Oscars? As the Oscars draw ever-nearer, it's always fun to do a little speculation — not just with the winners, but with the red carpet. Will Rooney Mara wear Chanel, and fulfill her ethereal and ruffly (and dramatic) dreams? Will Cate Blanchett go for showstopping Oscar de la Renta? This list goes on.

Luckily, with Jennifer Lawrence, there's a good deal less guesswork at play— after all, Jen has a multi-million dollar deal with Dior, so we can pretty much count on her making an appearance in the brand on Oscars night. In fact, she's worn couture from the brand at most of her major awards show appearances; from the time she wore shell pink Dior Spring 2013 Couture at the 2013 Academy Awards, to that time she walked the red carpet in sparkling Dior Fall 2013 Couture at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Other couture Dior favorites include everything from this gorgeously-silhouetted brocade number from the Fall 2014 show, to this simple-yet-stunning navy blue dress from the Spring 2013 show.

Suffice it to say, Lawrence has certainly worn her fair share of fabulous Dior over the past few years — so which couture gown will she don next? Here are a few dresses hot off the Spring Couture 2016 runway that might just fit the bill.

Absolutely gorgeous, right? Powder blue might be just thing for the 2016 Oscars.

This one would make for quite the showstopper — though someone with more avant garde taste (say, Marion Cotillard, who also happens to have a contract with Dior) might be more likely to rock this one.

This playful number is a bit of a departure from the ball gown-type dresses she typically wears from the brand; it could be a fun way to shake things up a bit.

So the question remains: Will Jennifer end up wearing one of the above dresses? Or will she choose something from the Fall 2015 Couture show instead? Who knows? Maybe she'll even go vintage.
