Lucy Hale Changed Her Hair Yet Again

by Augusta Statz

I can’t say for certain whether blondes really do have more fun or not, but this PLL star sure seems to be enjoying herself. So much so that she’s at this lightening her hair thing, for a second time around. Lucy Hale just dyed her hair even blonder, because apparently she’s feeling herself with this new ‘do. I can’t blame her for it, either. She looks absolutely amazing as a blonde, and considering she’s going to have to go back to brown as soon as shooting reconvenes, she might as well live this up as long as it lasts.

I was already convinced that Hale could totally pull off lighter locks, but now that she’s gone even more blonde, I’m feeling even more sure of myself. And since warmer days should be here soon, her timing couldn’t be more perfect. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s inspiring folks everywhere to hit the bleach before they hit the beach, if you know what I mean.

If you are planning on dying your ‘do, there are some extra precautions you should take to really maintain your hair’s health with, especially with all of that frolicking in the sun. Blondes may have more fun, but they’ve got to be careful, too, you know? So, check out Hale’s latest dye job, and see if you find yourself in the mood to brighten your hair a hue (or four) for the upcoming season. Honestly, it’d be hard not to want to.

Here's a photo from the first time she lightened her look.

And here's the blonde bombshell now.

If you're inclined to try this out for yourself, here are some products that will help you protect your hair once spring and summer roll around.

1. SPF

Clarin Sunscreen Hair Oil Spray, $36, Sephora

Yes, sun protection for your hair is important, too. The good news about this spray that's SPF 30 is it can be used on the skin and hair to not only shield from the sun, but keep you feeling hydrated all over.

2. Treatment Mask

Treatment Masque, $32, OUAI Haircare

A day on the beach or in the pool can be brutal for your tresses. So, treat them right when you get home by applying a fortifying mask to undo any damage.

3. Heat Protectant

Protecting your hair from heat is crucial, whether that heat is coming from styling, from the sun or both.

4. Finishing Product

Alterna Hair Care Fade-Proof Finishing Gloss, $25, Sephora

Give your hair an extra bit of shine and extra long- lasting color by spraying this on before heading outside.

5. Color Care Shampoo

This shampoo will be gentle on your strands, but still give you that deep cleaning that you need. Plus, it's made to protect color, so you don't have to worry about fading.

6. Color Care Conditioner

I can't say I blame you.
