5 Starbucks Menu Items You Need This Spring

by Michelle Regalado

Spring marks the return of warmer weather, blooming flowers — and new spring Starbucks drinks, obviously. It wouldn't be a new season without at least a few new novelty items from your favorite coffee chain, and as usual, Starbucks is living up to our expectations. If you missed your chance to try the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino during its limited time in stores, don't worry. The coffee company recently announced that it is unveiling another addictive coffee drink, the Caramelized Honey Latte, in celebration of the change of the seasons. A delicious cup of coffee to sip on while enjoying the spring weather — what could be better? Uh, try five new food and drink menu items. Forget Christmas — this is the most wonderful time of the year.

In addition to the new drink, Starbucks is bringing back a past seasonal favorite, the Mango Black Tea Lemonade, and is introducing some new food options, meaning you can count on being caffeinated and satisfied all season long. (Oh, and in case you did miss out on the aforementioned Cherry Blossom Frappuccino, find the recipe here and learn how to make one yourself.)

Here are all the yummy new items you can expect to see on the Starbucks menu this spring.

1. Caramelized Honey Latte

The newest drink on the menu is the Caramelized Honey Latte, which is available in the U.S. and Canada for a limited time. The drink is made up of slow-cooked caramel honey sauce mixed with Starbucks' signature bold espresso and topped with steamed milk. Sounds delicious, but the best part? It will be available hot, iced, or as a Frappuccino, so you can tailor your drink order to match whatever your preference or mood is. This versatility makes it an ideal choice for the sometimes unpredictable spring weather.

2. Teavana Shaken Mango Black Tea Lemonade

Spring also marks the return of the refreshing Mango Black Tea Lemonade to Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada for a limited time. The favorite beverage is made with premium Teavana black tea mixed with water or lemonade, and slightly sweetened with juicy mango and passion fruit.

3. Starbucks Reserve Eastern D.R. Congo Lake Kivu

Available at nearly 1,600 Starbucks locations in the U.S. and Canada and on Starbucks.com for a limited time, this "very special small lot coffee" is a result of the partnership between Starbucks and the Eastern Congo Initiative, which aims to help rebuild the resilient coffee-growing community in the Congo.

4. Southwest-Style Steak Wrap

In the mood for something to munch on with your drink? Starbucks is adding a hearty steak wrap to its list of food items. The wrap is made with grilled fajita steak tossed in a chimichurri sauce with fire roasted corn, peppers, jicama, lettuce, and a black bean spread in a sweet potato tortilla. It's paired with a creamy chipotle sauce and blue corn chips.

5. Pastries and cakes

On the sweeter side of things, Starbucks is also adding a collection of new pastries and cakes for those looking for something sweet to snack on this spring. This includes the Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake, the Chocolate Chunk Muffin, the Apple Fritter, and the Cinnamon Raisin Bagel.

Clearly, us Starbucks-goers have a lot to look forward to this spring. Happy caffeinating everybody!
