The Best Look From The First iHeartRadio Awards

by Gina Jones 2

In 2014, the world welcomed a new celebrity love fest in the shape of the iHeartRadio Music Awards, which brought out the likes of Ariana Grande, Shakira, and Usher to perform on the newly-founded stage. But who sported the most memorable look from the first iHeartRadio Music Awards? There was one particular ensemble that remains not only fresh in many minds two years later, but still as stunning and on-trend as it was back then.

Just in case you don't have a photographic memory allowing you to recall all award show looks from the past 10 years, I'm talking about Rihanna. From the Givenchy couture lace dress, paired with Neil Lane jewelry that gave off total Madonna vibes, to the metallic green lips and bantu knots, Rihanna proved that originality will always be remembered. Especially if it's pulled off with the impossible chicness that RiRi puts into wearing any outfit. It was far from the first — or last — time that Rihanna went for a sheer number, either. But every incarnation has been equally glam.

As well as attracting big performers, the audience at the 2014 iHeart Radio show also consisted of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, and Hilary Duff. A whole host of fashionable celebrities could have easily scored the most memorable look from the night. But Rihanna used her unique stance on style to snatch the title.

The outfit especially stood out amongst the numerous light-colored and highly feminine looks of the show. Don't get me wrong: Grande and Lopez looked gorgeous in their white dresses, but being remembered arguably means standing out for all the right reasons: Not blending in seamlessly with a crowd of beautiful people.

At the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Rihanna would kill it yet again in what was arguably one of her most memorable looks to date. The layering of Versace pieces included a green fur coat, green boots, a green choker, and green sunglasses against a simple LBD, which was the perfect look for the first performance of "B*tch Better Have My Money."

And this year? I have no idea what Rihanna's going to wear to the much-anticipated event. I can only hope, pray, and beg that the outfit is as killer as the past two looks.
