How Much Are Kat Von D Lock-It Brushes? They Are Investment Pieces — PHOTOS
You'll be saving face this fall. In addition to the 13 (!!!) new shades of the best-selling Lock-It Foundation, which are coming this October, Kat Von D Beauty is releasing four, face-focused Lock-It brushes for its fall collection. You won't have to wait as long for the Kat Von D face brushes, as they will arrive at Sephora stores and at the Sephora website this July, according to a press release Bustle received from KvD's PR reps. The brand and its namesake have been teasing the beautiful, weapon-like brushes on Instagram. So we know when we can shop the 100% vegan and cruelty-free brushes and what they look like. But how much are these high-performance, precision-crafted, and artisan tools, which have glossy, black, stiletto-like handles?
They are investment tools, since the brushes run from $24 to $38. They will also be available via the Kat Von D Beauty official site.
Here is the brand's official breakdown of which brush does what and how much it costs, per the same press release. If you nab them all for your collection and daily routine, you are looking at a total of $128, before taxes and other costs, like shipping and handling, should you order online. Again, the pricing makes these brushes investment pieces. But if you use them daily, the cost-per-use is reduced significantly. So that's something to consider if you're on a budget.
Aren't they gorgeous? Those handles? They mimic stilettos or icepicks.
The Kat Von D Lock-It Edge Foundation Brush is $34 and boasts a sculpted shape that was specifically designed for applying the creamy Lock-It Foundation, which is beloved by Kat Von D-evotees. The bristles conform to facial curves and contour for precise blending. You can also use it as an all-over application tool. Expert tip: The long handle can be used as a mixing spatula or as a guide for winged liner. Yes, really!
The Kat Von D Lock-It Edge Concealer Brush is $24 and is like the Foundation Brush's little sis. It has the same sculpted head, but is smaller and meant for concentrating product in areas in which you desire full coverage.
At $38, the Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder Brush is the priciest brush. But as noted, it's an investment piece. The round shape and long, tapered bristles allow for all-over application and setting. It's fluffy and medium-density, which makes it perfect for dusting a loose product across face.
Lastly, there is the Kat Von D Lock-It Precision Powder Brush, which will set you back by $32. You can use it for tiny corners or when you desire precision application under eyes. It was also designed for highlighting and for setting both concealer and foundation. This brush looks to be the third brush from left in the Insta image of this brush fam.
So, yeah, these new Kat Von D brushes are the only tools you will need for complexion perfection!
