Too Faced May Have Another Maj Collab In The Works

This potential pairing is so epic that I'd carve their initials in a heart on a tree! That is, if it happens as I hope it does. Too Faced may be teaming up with beautyblender, the beloved, egg-shaped, and hot pink makeup sponge that allows you to achieve an airbrushed look. How do we know that a possible Too Faced x beautyblender collab is in the works? Well, Too Faced co-founder Jerrod Blandino shared a major clue on his personal Instagram. He does this all the time — his Insta offers more sneak peeks and Too Faced tips than the brand's official feed. Blandino revealed something is in the works, but he didn't offering any elucidation about what, exactly, this "collab" is. Let's assess the clue, shall we?

In this caption of his fab Instagram photo with beautyblender founder Rea Ann Silva, Blandino reveals that they were had "a photo shoot for a super exciting upcoming collab... make sure you keep your eyes peeled!"

Could that be a special, Too Faced edition of the beautyblender sponge? The bb is usually hot pink. But maybe they are working on a softer, lighter, Too Faced shade of pink for a new edition? Or maybe they are crafting a sponge specifically designed for a Too Faced product?

Well, we can only speculate.

beauty blenders come in many different shapes and sizes and serve many different makeup purposes. But wouldn't you love a pale pink version?

This is a screen grab of Blandino's caption. Is the "super exciting upcoming collab" something co-branded and limited edition? Or are both brands involved in something separate but equal with a retailer or something else? It doesn't have to be a brand mashup, actually. It could be as simple as bundling a bb with a Too Faced product at a store. Or it could be bigger than that.

Sigh. We just don't know. It's not clear and we can only make educated guesses and assumptions based on the clue.

Bustle reached out to Too Faced reps for further information on Too Faced x beautyblender. We'll let you know if and when we hear back.

UPDATE: Too Faced reps returned our email, saying there is no further information at this time. They will let us know when there is.

Kat Von D, who is working on a super secret collab with Too Faced, also partnered with beautyblender to include a black sponge with her Lock-It Foundation. So this would not be the first time that beautyblender partnered with another brand... if that's what they are doing.

This could simply be a super preliminary tease to get fans of both brands stoked and further deets should reveal themselves soon. I hope.

While Blandino's excited post doesn't offer concrete details about the possible partnership, I will remained firmly tuned in for further details. I love that he is like a kid in a candy store, so excited about new makeup offerings that he is compelled to share even the slightest crumb of info with customers. That's lurve.
