Why Bright Lipstick After Labor Day Is A Must

Just like white pants, where there's a will, there's a way! Lipstick is no different — and it just so happens that there are a ton of bright lipstick choices that can be fabulous after Labor Day. Think: Kylie Jenner's coral lip kits, or Jeffree Star's colorful velour liquid lippies. But if you've been following makeup trends, then you already know that neon lips are about to be a big trend this fall. Labor Day, schmabor day.

If you're anything like me, the minute fall hits, you probably start gravitating towards shades of gray and black. Personally, I believe that there is no better way to add a pop up color to your outfit than by adding a bright lipstick to your makeup routine. While our skin may lose its summer glow, jewel tones in particular are great transition hues to seamlessly carry you right into the fall.

Olivia Palermo is another great example of post-Labor Day bright lipstick inspo. Her Satin Kiss collection with Ciate features an orangey shade and a bright red shade, both of which make great transition colors.

If you favor a more natural look like me, this color is perfect because it's buildable and long-lasting. It'll give you just enough pink while still giving you that ladylike feel.

3. Marc Jacobs Show Stopper

While this is a pricey choice, the color sticks and it is probably one of the best, true reds on the market. Pair it with a cat eye and you'll look chic and bold all at once.
