Uh-Oh! Is Rob & Chyna's Reality Show In Trouble?

by Jamie Primeau

Just when it seemed like everything was going smoothly, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's relationship may have hit a snag. Nope, I'm not talking about Kardashian's Instagram purge (which involved deleted any and every photo, including ones with his fiancé). Instead, TMZ reported on Monday that production sources say that Chyna and Kardashian's reality show may be in trouble. They claim that Kardashian has been skipping out on filming, because he's worried about the impact the series could have on their relationship. Bustle reached out to E! for comment, but has not heard back at this time.

If these rumors are true and ChyRo's reality show future is in trouble, it may actually not be the worst news in the world. Sure, I'd be bummed that I won't get the inside scoop on their life together, but if he's genuinely concerned that the overexposure could do more harm than good, I can't help but respect that. The way the couple's relationship first skyrocketed into the spotlight was a little much. It felt like every up and down was documented via Instagram, so perhaps they just want a break now from the limelight. (Or at least one of them does.) And if that's the only reason the show's filming is getting put off, that totally makes sense.

Granted, in the past when Kardashian avoided the spotlight, it was a sign of greater issues. His time out from TV was reportedly linked to depression and feelings of self-doubt. However, ever since Chyna's been in his life, he's seemingly gotten back on track, as far as socializing and leading a more healthy lifestyle. So I wouldn't be so quick to link this current TV trouble with a bigger issue.

TMZ also reported that when Chyna went to Kardashian's grandmother MJ's birthday party a few weeks ago, that was being filmed for the future reality series. Considering the show is about Chyna and Kardashian's relationship, it wouldn't be successful if just one of them kept the momentum going, would it? But I suppose it would make for some interesting episodes if Kardashian is absent and fans ponder why.

Only time will tell what happens next with ChyRo, but reality show or not, I'm rooting for them to keep things going strong. They do have a baby on the way and that should stay priority number-one.
