Kendall Jenner Addresses Her Dating Life

Rumors are constantly swirling around Kendall Jenner's dating life — because she is super famous, super stunning, and a super successful model — but especially because she might be rekindling things with Harry Styles. (Either that, or she's allegedly dating A$AP Rocky.) The point is: The 20-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's love life is forever being discussed, but this time, Jenner is the one who is talking about it.

Speaking to Allure, the reporter notes that the only time Jenner was anything less than perfectly poised throughout their time together was when she was asked about her personal life, growing flustered and fidgeting with her hair as she addressed the dating rumors. (At the time of the interview, which took place in mid-July if my calculations are correct, the rumor mill was all about the A$AP Rocky story, and the Styles reconciliation rumors had not yet come out.)

"I just—my personal life, I'm so young. Whoever I'm dating, or going to be dating, is young, too," Jenner pointed out. "So I don't think it's figured out. Do you know what I mean? So if I don't know what it is, I'd rather not let everyone else know."

Jenner makes an excellent point here. You know that incredibly awkward period in a relationship where you haven't yet DTRed (or maybe you're not even exclusive/it's more of a casual thing) and it's all ~no labels~? Who would want to broadcast a situation like that — either one in which you haven't defined anything or one that is simply not serious — if the two people in the relationship haven't even figured out what they want yet? For real: If you haven't decided you want to bring this guy home to mama yet, it's probably best to just keep it amongst yourselves (and the group text, of course). Who can really blame Jenner for wanting to keep her maybe-relationships on the DL until (or if) things become official? Pretty sure that everyone can understand that school of thought.

Keep in mind that it is also revealed in this interview that Jenner's lock screen is a text bubble that reads, "I gave you a boner, don't ignore me," proof that she's also not here for guys who ghost. I love it.

While I get the appeal of needing to know every detail about Jenner's dating life (I am a celebrity news writer, after all), the fact that she is just a twenty-something just trying to figure out her dating life — aren't we all? — trumps the desire to know if Hendall 2016 is happening. If something's official, Jenner will let the world know — sooner or later.
