These Couples Costumes Are Easy & Affordable

It's nearly Halloween, and there's probably a chance that you're still looking for some costumes. To complicate matters, there's also a probability that you're not just looking for yourself but your significant other, too. Don't worry, though, these11 couples costumes won't break the bank, and they're easy and quick enough that you'll be Halloween-ready just in the nick of time and with money to spare for drinks.

Waiting until the last minute to create your costume isn't exactly a uncommon phenomenon. One glance at the Internet during this time of year, and you'll find article after slideshow after YouTube video on how to create a quick and easy costume. The trouble, though, is finding costumes for both you and your boo. While that easy cat tutorial may seem like the perfect solution, maybe your significant other just doesn't want to be the mouse to your cat.

Of course, you don't need to head out to a party in coordinated couples costumes. In no way is it some sort of odd requirement, but for those of us who love a good coordinating get-up, it's just a fun way to celebrate a holiday with your significant other. Plus, some of them are actually clever.

Whatever you want to be, though, there's a chance you can get it fairly cheap. Even if these ideas aren't your thing, maybe you'll get just a bit of inspiration.

1. Snapchat Puppies

Conveniently, the Snapchat puppy filter comes with two different cute pooches. Plus, they work for any gender. Some craft supplies, a black, brown, or white shirt, and you and your bae are good to go.

2. Lighting Bolt & Victim

This costume definitely made me chuckle, and thumbs up for gender neutrality!

3. Salt & Pepper

A black and white shirt, a cardboard S & P, and two beanies later, you're an adorable, easy couple of salt and pepper shakers.

4. Dancing Girl Emojiis

This costume doesn't have to be too exact to work which makes it great since you can source from your own closets. Two black tank tops, two pairs of some sort of black bottoms, and some black bows in your hair, and you and your girl are good to go.

5. Peanut Butter & Jelly

This one is can be easily made at a craft store on the cheap. Snag two light brown shirts, one piece of large brown felt — in a slightly deeper color than the tee — and one piece of purple or red felt. Cut the felt into your desired squiggly pattern, adhere it to your shirt, and bam! Instant PB & J.

6. Bob & Linda Belcher

If you're a Bob's Burgers fan, this costume is ideal because you probably already have it. For Bob, you'll need a white tee, gray pants, and to craft your own mustache or purchase one. As for Linda, a simple long sleeve red tee, jeans, a white apron, and a pair of glasses — boom!

7. Pigs In A Blanket

You'll only need pink tees, two pig noses — purchasable or DIY— and two blankets. Simply wrap the blankets around yourself, and hello there, pigs in a blanket. Plus, what a way to keep warm if you're in a chilly climate.

8. Ketchup & Mustard

You can never go wrong with a shirt, and luckily, they're easy to get in time for Halloween. One red tee, one yellow tee, and a K and M cut-out letters, and you've got a cheap and easy go-to.

9. Waldo & Wenda

Two red beanies, two sets or glasses, and two striped tees, and clearly, you'll be two of the best dressed at the party...if they can find you.

10. Burglars

Snag two black and white striped shirts, some black pants, and two face masks, and no one will be asking what you are for Halloween.

11. Tourists

Binoculars, disposable cameras, shorts, Hawaiian shirts — the options are endless for this simple costume. Source sunglasses and accessories from your own closet, and you won't break the bank.
