Nick's 'Bach' Contestants Could Be Announced Soon
It's almost the most wonderful time of the year, guys! No, not Christmas — The Bachelor is almost in season. Starting in January, we get to see Nick Viall (who has the potential to become the best Bachelor of all time) begin his search for the person he's hopefully going to spend the rest of his life with, and now, we finally have our first look at the season. As of Monday night, the first Bachelor trailer for Viall's season is here, but unfortunately, it didn't give us much on the women who will be vying for his heart. If you're clamoring for more info like I am, you're probably wondering when Viall's Bachelor contestants will be announced.
Because no offense, but that trailer was a little weak. I get that the show is trying to keep the finer details of his season under wraps since the premiere is still a little less than two months away, but before I decide which woman I want Viall to pick during that final rose ceremony, I'm going to need to know a few things about these ladies. The good news? The announcement shouldn't be too far off, especially if the show keeps to the pattern it's developed over the past several years.
In 2015, Ben Higgins' contestants were announced on December 7, complete with the traditional bios and yearbook photo-esque head shots we've come to expect over the past 20 seasons. And before him, Chris Soules' contestants were released on the exact same day in 2014, with Juan Pablo Galavis' announcement happening just a day earlier in the previous year on December 6, 2013. With this kind of record, it's probably safe to say that Viall's announcement is probably going down the first week of December, too. And of course, if you want all the dirt ahead of time, there are always Reality Steve's spoilers, but stay away from his site (and his Twitter) if you want to be surprised when the show airs in January.
As much as I'm looking forward to trying to guess this season's winner from her bio, I also like to try to guess who the next Bachelorette will be. I'm almost always wrong, but it's still fun! Plus, who doesn't love finding out which ridiculous job titles the contestants have each season? It's the best part of the announcement, honestly.
No matter when the announcement comes out, it seems pretty clear from the tiny trailer that Viall is going to have plenty of gorgeous girls to choose from — and that the competition between them is going to be pretty rough. And as much as I want Viall to find exactly what he's looking for, I am prepared to be super jealous from my couch. I have a feeling I won't be alone in that!
