That Teen's Grandma Has Words For Him

Okay, okay, we know that only two things essentially happened this week: How I Met Your Mother crushed your soul, and James Franco accidentally hit on a teenage girl (DON'T MESSAGE HIM IF YOU'RE UNDER 18, GUYS!!). Soooo, about that second thing: Apparently, that teenage girl Lucy Clode's grandma has some words for James Franco, and it's amazing because you do NOT mess with grandma. This girl clearly just comes from a family of badasses.

We know Franco has "apologized" on national television after the whole Instagram scandal with Clode — social media is really confusing, you guys — and has unfortunately given us the opportunity to make inappropriate jokes we didn't even know existed. (Oh, Franco, PLEASE editorialize about this one in the Times .) We obviously got that Franco felt foolish, but 84-year-old Beryl Sussex wants him to experience more punishment than just the experience of feeling total and utter shame. She wants him to get a "slap on the wrist!" She told MailOnline:

I think he ought to get a slap on the wrist and I know my son, Lucy's dad, wouldn't be afraid to give it to him [...] It shows how little these famous actors know about normal people and how to behave. They're out of touch with reality [...] Lucy isn't even 18. It's bad enough a man of his age is approaching her like this, never mind a movie star. I really take exception to this [...] I don't know this actor, at my age we don't keep up to speed, but it's quite clear his behavior is not on.

Aaah, Grandma is pissed (as one would expect). I love the part where she says his "behavior is not on," because even an 84-year-old woman is saying that something's off with James Franco. (Do you think she'll still read his poetry book, Directing Herbert White? )

But, rest assured, so long as the PARENTS keep kids away from James Franco, you should feel OK:

Let's just hope that she doesn't see Palo Alto, although if she did see it and caught a glimpse of that James Franco/Emma Roberts May-December romance...we might get Grandma vs. Franco Part 2, and who knows what comes after a slap on the wrist?!
