Rumors about Kimye getting married at the Palace of Versailles have been around for a while. Like, a looooonnnngg while. These have pretty much been put to rest — Oh? What's that? They're still happening?! This wedding is seriously exhausting. We really don't know what to believe, but the latest news is that the president of the Palace says that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are not getting married at Versailles. And while she was at it, she went ahead and ruined a surprise that Kim and Kanye had planned for all of their guests. Way to go, lady!

As the Daily Mail reports, Kim and Kanye originally wanted to get married at Versailles. I assume this is because they want to recreate the party scenes from Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. If you've seen the movie you know that would make for a sick wedding and Kardashian and West have the means. Unfortunately, Versailles is not willing to accommodate them. Palace of Versailles president, Catherine Pegard said that holding the wedding there "wasn't possible," but is willing to welcome them in a surprise tour for their guests on the evening before their wedding. She said in a statement,

In making this choice, they will contribute once more to a better understanding of Versailles, and will help to maintain the exceptional heritage of Versailles, which is classed as a world heritage site by Unesco.

If you're able to look past the ridiculously amazing fact that Kardashian and West have become respected ambassadors to Versailles, you'll see that Pegard totally ruined Kimye's awesome surprise. I know what you're thinking: Invitees to the Kimye wedding don't read the Daily Mail. Well, they might not on a regular basis, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to Google some information on the wedding after receiving that extremely vague invitation

And the Palace of Versailles president wasn't the only one willing to give out top secret information. After it was reported that Kardashian and West would really be getting married in Florence not Paris, Elisa Di Lupo, a spokesperson for the Florence mayor's office confirmed that they had rented the city's Fort Belvedere as their venue.

Everyone is just putting Kimye's secrets out there! Kardashian and West are practiced in keeping things private though. They could've rented Fort Belvedere to throw people off, bribed the Versailles president, and actually are getting married at the palace. In these days leading up to the wedding keep a clear mind. Nothing is confirmed. Trust no one. If you get an odd look on the street, walk away quickly. These are confusing times, but we can make it through if we remember that it will all be over soon. May 24 can't come fast enough.
