Beyonce & Jay Z's Tour Ends, But Will the Rumors?

by Kenya Foy

Alas, Beyoncé and Jay Z have wrapped their "On the Run" tour. The past few weeks have been completely saturated with show-by-show analyses and enough assumptions about the couple's body language and lyrical content to make my head spin. Anyone who really wanted to attend a show but lives in a city that the tour bypassed has my sincerest apologies, but I am so glad this tour is OVER. After all the crazy rumors about the Beyoncé and Jay Z's alleged relationship troubles, i'm sure Beyoncé is just as glad, too. But instead of giving the media and her fans a big old middle finger and a "see ya later," she instead continued to take the diplomatic route and thanked her fans on Instagram."Thank you San Fran! Your city is beautiful," Beyoncé wrote. "It was the perfect place to complete the best tour of my life! Thank you to all the fans that supported our show. God bless."Whew! Now that that's over, can the mass divorce sleuthing pleeeaaase just stop?!? If the rumors persist at their current pace, it might prompt some desperate soul to start a petition demanding the couple to confirm their present marital status. That sounds far-fetched, but that's the way it feels with the continuous play-by-play of whether they've lost their chemistry, why Beyoncé broke down on stage, if Jay Z's been unfaithful and, well... the rest of the Internet's two cents. With the end of the tour, I hope Beyoncé will take a social media break, even though she has every right to post when, where, and how she damn well pleases. It's truly not her fault that everyone's obsessed with her marriage. But I fear that anything she shares from this point on will only keep the conspiracy theorists running with what they believe to be true, even if it's solely based on photos she shares online, or hearsay that has yet to come from the horse's mouth.
