J.Law's First Dior for The 'Mockingjay' Tour

by Rosie Narasaki

At last! The press tour has begun for The Hunger Games: Mockinjay Part 1 , and Jennifer Lawrence is already slaying. Lawrence's rocky relationship with Dior (rocky in the sartorial sense, not the literal — she's pretty firmly signed in for a three-year, multi-million dollar contract, and that's about as stable as it gets) is the subject of much hubbub in the fashion industry. Add the high-profile-ness of Dior to J.Law's mega-watted star power and you've got a debate over pretty much every single outfit/dress she wears. Was this Dior coat dress too boring? Was this Dior cocktail dress too — and I quote — "ugh, I don't even know"? Were these Dior ads too photoshopped?

Negativity aside, when she gets it right, it's even more newsworthy — and Monday night, my friends, at the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, she freakin' knocked it out of the park. She walked the red carpet in what might just be the prettiest, most princessy (but not too princessy, which is an important distinction) high-low-hemmed dress in the history of ever. Complete with an Audrey Hepburn-worthy boatneck, a Grace Kelly-worthy gathered full skirt, and black flowers falling down the front of the dress in quite the lovely cascade, this is possibly J.Law's best collab with Dior to date. What do you think?

Gorgeous, right? And some drama-inducing wind, definitely helped:
