Liam Hemsworth Just Won the Internet

by Kenya Foy

Who else can't get enough of the awesomeness that is the press tour for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1? So far, promotion for the film's upcoming Nov. 21 release has included a hilarious Letterman appearance from Jennifer Lawrence, who displayed her subpar singing skills (sorry, JLaw), and a Tonight Show appearance by Josh Hutcherson. While it's fun to debate over which of the two stars does late night better, it wouldn't be fair to make the final call without considering their co-star Liam Hemsworth, who raced tricycles with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

Perhaps it's because Liam Hemsworth wears the facial expression of a serious man so well, but I find it completely difficult to see him as a jokester. Sure he dated Miley Cyrus, who obviously has a sense of humor (strange as it may be), and was a part of the hilarious "Charlie Bit My Finger" spoof along with his brother Chris, as well as Meryl Streep — but the 24-year-old actor often displays such a laid-back demeanor that I just cannot imagine him doing anything extraordinarily silly. Fortunately, a typical work day for Hemsworth requires him to to abandon his usual professional poise to tool around with Fallon on TV. Lucky guy, right?

Besides, it's not like he had a choice in the matter of not being serious — who could maintain their composure racing an oversized tricycle around a studio while wearing fancy threads and a beer hat? Add to that a random elderly man sweeping a huge pile of leaves in the middle of the hallway, a bear fighting a chicken, and Katherine Heigl cheering on the sidelines (ALL OF WHICH HAPPEN) and you either have a recipe for disaster, a reason to laugh out loud, or both.

Watch below to see Hemsworth and Fallon's hilarious race to the finish line:
