Have you heard that the VS Fashion Show took place this past week? If you have an Internet connection, then I'm sure you have. It's quite possible that by this weekend you have overheard at least three conversations centered around Taylor Swift wearing lingerie and essentially being a full-time angel or Ariana Grande getting whacked in the face with a wing. In the event that you haven't seen a sneak peak of the million-dollar bra duo, my guess is that you must've had your eyes closed for the past four days. I mean, the show has already been talked about so much that we're all kind of wondering whether there will actually be anything left to discuss after it airs next Tuesday. Well, even though we've yet to see the full taping, there is one topic that hasn't gotten it's fair share of fan fare — and that is the fierce shoes that carried the angels down the Truman Capote "Black and White Ball" themed runway.
The team at Victoria's Secret ensured their debut abroad was epic, from wing tips to toes. Thanks to their collaboration with "It-Brit" Sophia Webster, the angels presented us with a fresh, London-worthy assortment of footwear. And did we expect any less? The up-and-coming accessory designer is currently one of the hottest tickets in town, known for her whimsical and unique take on modern, feminine footwear. After being appointed and serving as assistant to famed shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood, Webster burst onto the scene with collection after award-winning collection, even designing a spring, fall and splurge-worthy holiday capsule with major industry influencer, J.Crew. She is officially stealing the shoe show, and lucky for the angels, has lent her talents to the lingerie giant this year — adding the perfect touch to the fantastical dream world that is the VS Fashion Show.
Webster offered up some of her most famous designs to the runway in addition to creating a few brilliantly imaginative shoes to go with those winged wardrobes. While we'll have to wait until Tuesday for the official television debut of these hot steppers, social media has come to the rescue with a sneak peak of five shoes that are soon to make their way off the runway and onto everyone's holiday wish list.
Designed exclusively for Alessandra Ambrosio to go with one of the two Fantasy Bras.
The second exclusive design for the Fantasy Bra and Adriana Lima. Webster's original "Riko" design was also worn throughout the show.
A perfectly PINK shoe, with two exclusive fabrications.
The thigh-high boot that topped off the "Exotic Traveler" theme.
If there was ever a shoe meant for a Victoria's Secret Angel, it is undeniably Webster's Athena butterfly thigh-high.
So my mom was asking me for my Christmas list last night. Maybe I should just direct her attention this way? I mean, I totally have somewhere to wear thigh-high butterfly boots to in the new year. Hey, a girl can dream.
