I don't think there's a soul in the world who has a single bad thing to say about Miranda Lambert. The country [pop] star is beloved round the world for her spunk, her unapologetically romantic marriage to Blake Shelton (they're big fans of public displays of affection), and music that yields one award nomination after another (seven ACM Award nominations alone in 2014). Since releasing her new video for "Little Red Wagon" on March 11th, we've been praising M.L. for something else: her fashion.
It's undeniable that the wardrobe choices for this power country pop song were sassy and on point: scarf headbands, heart-shaped sunglasses (and cat-eye sunglasses), and a striking use of fire engine red in everything from her button-down to her cowboy boots to her swimsuit. Speaking of swimsuits, wasn't that retro-inspired one-piece just everything? Really, it stole the show. And this just in: it's Esther Williams for ModCloth. Otherwise known as the vintage loving, body positive retailer that holds a boundless spot in most of our hearts.
Last week brought us some early signs of spring at last — later days, slightly higher temperatures and clearance sales for winter apparel at most major shops. With the changing of the seasons comes the countdown to spring break and the hunt for the perfect, most personality-personifying one or two-piece in existence. For under $100, Miranda Lambert's retro swimwear can be yours (and mine!), but so can lots of other impeccable ModCloth pieces. If you're a fan of the fashion of the 20s through the 60s, I suggest you take a peak:
