89 Iconic Movie Dances In One Epic Compilation Will Make You Want To Cancel Your Life And Watch All Of These Films — VIDEO

I know we were all eagerly awaiting the release of Step Up 4 (5? 6? Only watched for Channing, TBH), but I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is we clearly don't need one anymore and it's probably going to be canceled. The good news is that society is going to fill its void with this video compilation of 89 of the most iconic movie dances set to the hit "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon. It's got everything from West Side Story to Tangled to Silver Linings Playbook, and it basically just made me want to cancel Tuesday to pull up Netflix and re-watch every single movie.

I think, above all, this video is a testament to how slammin' this new song is. Similarly to the eerie fit on this mashup of "Shake It Off" to the Pulp Fiction dance, "Shut Up And Dance" seems to be the Mona Lisa of dance songs, following the beat wherever it goes. I've had this on my running playlist for a few months and can attest to the magic of this song. After seeing this video, though, I'm convinced that we should just use it to narrate the background of everyone's personal lives.

Here's the video that is about to slam you right in the nostalgia feels:

I am so wildly impressed by the human being who created these, for possessing what must be an infinite amount of cleverness and patience to make this work. Among YouTube user MsTabularasa's works are another compilation of Barney Stinson life lessons, and one of all your favorite actors crying to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack (because why not). It is my sincerest wish that their next video is a mashup of all the best television dances, so that these gems can also get a chance to shine:

Chris Traegor in Parks and Recreation

Robin Sparkles in How I Met Your Mother

Liz Lemon in 30 Rock

The entire cast of The Office at Jim and Pam's wedding

And, most importantly, whatever this is from Toddlers and Tiaras

I'm sure there are eight bajillion more pieces of gold where that came from. C'mon, internet! Make it happen! I believe in you.
