Does The #KylieJennerChallenge Work? We Tried The Shot Glass Beauty Hack So You Don't Have To
In case you haven't heard about the #KylieJennerChallenge, it's pretty much taking over the Internet, so odds are you're about to encounter it on your social media feeds soon. Teens across America got eyes popping (and, well, literally speaking: mouths moving) when they started taking to social media to experiment and find out if the #KylieJennerChallenge works. What does that mean exactly? Teens are fitting their lips into a shot glass to see if it can expand their pout to look full and voluptuous, á la Kylie Jenner. And even though beauty is pain and all of that jazz, thousands of tweets have erupted with photos of bruised lips and pain-induced captions. Yet America keeps on plugging with it.
Personally, this sounds way too painful/probably dangerous, so Kylie's lip liner trick is probably the best way to go in the arena of temporary lip augmentation. However, if you're a tad bit interested in seeing if it works, we decided to make ourselves the guinea pigs (you know, to spare you the discomfort and all), and see if you can really get Kylie Jenner's lips from a shot glass.
The results? Well, you'll see in the video below, but the sensations range from pain, to confusion, to basically nothing at all. So does it work? You'll have to watch to find out. But this quote probably sums it up best: "There's like, lip plumping serums you could use. This hurts."
