Kate Middleton Is In Labor, So You Can Finally Really Get Excited For Royal Baby #2
At long last, the arrival of royal baby #2 is almost here! As of early in the morning UK time — and, well, the middle of the night US time — Kate Middleton is in labor. According to Kensington Palace, "labour is progressing as normal" and Middleton was taken to the hospital by car and accompanied by her husband, Prince William. The duchess was reportedly admitted at 6:00 am British Summer Time.
The Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital is no doubt going wild at this news as some fans had been waiting outside the hospital for days. While not confirmed by the palace, it was reported that Middleton was due on Thursday, April 23 — nine days ago. But now, the second royal baby could arrive at any moment. Or... she could have a long labor that leaves the royal watchers camped outside of the Lindo Wing even longer. Anything is possible! How exciting!
Fans of the royal family have already begun reacting to this news on Twitter, and it's clear they can't wait for the little princess or prince to arrive. Middleton and Prince William did not confirmed whether the baby would be boy or a girl, there was speculation that the duchess was pregnant with a girl after she reportedly was testing pink paint samples. We'll have to wait and see! And, thankfully, now it won't be much longer.
