See The First 'Intern' Trailer With Anne Hathaway

by Anna Klassen

Often, directors are synonymous with the kinds of films they produce. A Tarantino film with be drenched in blood, a Wes Anderson movie will be esthetically symmetrical, and a Michael Bay picture will have you on the edge of your seat (albeit with a slight headache). But a Nancy Meyers movie is a particular kind of amazing. With past works including Something's Gotta Give, It's Complicated, and my personal favorite, The Holiday, the seasoned director knows how to make a movie that will leave you both fulfilled and often smiling. And based off the trailer for Nancy Meyer's latest offering, The Intern , audiences will once again be moved and delighted.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, the film follows a 70-year-old widower (De Niro) who discovers he's just not cut out for the world of retirement. He takes advantage of an opportunity to get back in the game, and becomes an intern at an online fashion site founded and run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway).

Also starring Rene Russo (who was incredible in last year's Nightcrawler), Workaholics' Anders Holm, Pitch Perfect's Adam Devine, Andrew Rannells of Girls fame, and Paper Towns' Nat Wolff, the multigenerational cast rounds out the first trailer — which is heartfelt and hilarious — beautifully.

The film is set to hit theaters on September 25, 2015. Watch the first trailer for The Intern below:
