Here's How To Get J.Lo's Tony Awards Makeup

by Lindsey Rose Black

We all know how firecracker hot Jennifer Lopez is, and Sunday night's red carpet was no exception. For the 2015 Tony Awards, Jennifer Lopez wore a stunning navy dress with a glittery starburst that was really quite modest compared to her recent award show ensembles. Her beauty look was just as good — if not, dare I say, even a little bit better? It's certainly something we should all be aiming to recreate this season.

Based on Lopez’s 2015 Billboard Music Awards look and the intensely sheer red dress she rocked like a goddess at the MET Gala, I expected something along the same lines from her at the Tony's. However, the star chose an elegant princess cut navy ballgown with bronze metallic gilded star embroidery details. I love a good set of cut-outs and micro mini, but this ballgown just proves that J.Lo's sexy in anything she wears.

Additionally, J.Lo's makeup is totally on point, mixing a smoky eye with a dark red lip. Her newly cut lob is swept over one eye in a retro style she rarely rocked with longer strands. The classic smoky eye, red lip, and curled bob combo is a look anyone can adapt and pull off, so I've rounded up a few of my favorite makeup products that'll help you recreate the look yourself.

1. Matte Foundation

When pairing a smoky eye with bold lipstick, dewy skin can be overwhelming. Opt for light matte coverage. BareMinerals' sheer, powder finish evens out red spots without weighing you down.

2. Smoky Eye Kit

Buying a kit makes creating a dramatic smoky eye a breeze. It might seem more expensive, but buying everything separately ends up costing the same amount (or more!)

3. Vampy Red Lip

Sorry, nothing will ever say "sexy" better than red lips. End of story.

4. Bronzer

Finish off the look with a kiss of bronzer on each cheek, your chin, hairline, and tip of your nose. Trust me.
