Best Moments From 'Wet Hot American Summer' Teaser

Usually when I hear the sound of H. John Benjamin's voice, I think of Bob Belcher and Archer, but, thanks to the folks behind Wet Hot American Summer, I also know he's the voice behind a life-coaching Can of Vegetables. Yes, that's right H. John Benjamin is the voice of a Can of Vegetables, but he's so much more than that to the uproariously hilarious Wet Hot American Summer — he's the conscience and the courage of the whole film. So when the Wet Hot American Summer trailer premiered, the Netflix update to the 2001 cult comedy, and I heard the soothing sounds of the Can of Vegetables welcoming me to Camp Firewood for First Day of Camp, I knew all was right with the world.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp takes us back to Maine where our favorite (terrible) counselors are doing what they always do: wrangling campers, going on adventures, berating musical theater kids, and making love in a shed deep in the woods. You know, regular camp stuff. It may seem impossible for First Day of Camp to recreate the magic of the film, but I have faith that Michael Showalter and David Wain will do it justice.

Not only does H. John Benjamin return as the mystic Can of Vegetables, so does Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks Christopher Meloni, Janeane Garofolo, Michael Ian Black, Ken Marino, Joe Lo Truglio, Molly Shannon, Michael Showalter, and Marguerite Moreau from the original cast. If that's not enough to get you excited, the series also includes guests like Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, and John Slattery. It's going to be more incredible than getting away from camp, even for an hour.
