What It Feels Like When Your Mom Calls

Your mother is one of the most important people in your life. I value my relationship with my mom more than I can possibly put into words. And while I love talking to her, catching up and making sure we check in on each other, she has this insanely impressive ability to call when I'm right in the middle of work. Always. When I'm bored, my phone never rings. But then suddenly when I'm at a New Year's Eve party and she just HAS to talk to me. BuzzFeed knows what it feels like when your mom calls. Because while it's so great to hear her voice, it is also an ever lasting phone call. Like, there simply can't be THAT much to report.

But there always is.

I've never had my mom specifically call me about a Tarantino film, but she did get into Wes Anderson recently. And don't even get her started on Frasier now that it's on Netflix. The point is, as much as I treasure those calls, they do seem to appear at the absolute worst time. But... you can't hang up on your mom. At least not right away. So, you keep talking.

And talking.

And talking.

AND YEARS PASS.

See where I'm going with this?

It seems like it's going to be a quick conversation while you're cooking dinner:

But then you go out, and you're still on the phone:

And then 60 years later, you're still on the phone:

You know how that can be.

And don't forget to call your mom later.
