13 Unique Easter Party Ideas For 2017

by Sadie Trombetta

After a long winter of staying in, spring is finally here, and with it came the perfect excuse for getting out, getting together, and celebrating: Easter. This year, beef up your festivities by going beyond the standard egg dying with these unique Easter party ideas for 2017.

I'm a sucker for tradition, especially around the holidays. On Christmas Eve, I expect to feast on at least seven dishes, and on New Year's Eve, I exclusively drink champagne and wear sparkles. For St. Patrick's Day, I cheers with green beers like any celebrating American, and for Thanksgiving, I'm willing to try new ideas, as long as they include canned cranberry sauce.

When Easter rolls around, I stick to what I know — hand-dyed eggs, backyard hunts, chocolate animals, and Cadbury eggs. Now that I'm older, though, I'm always trying to find new traditions to include in my annual celebration. There are new recipes to test out, different pastel decorations to DIY, new gifts to give out, and yes, even though you're an adult, there are new games to play.

Ready for more than just chocolate bunnies and brightly colored eggs? Then settle in for 13 unique Easter party ideas for 2017.
