It all started back in October when a Stranger Things fan and high school senior from California tweeted a message to David Harbour asking him to be in her senior photos. The request was innocent enough, but little did Twitter user @postydamaris (real name Damaris Fregoso, according to E! News) know that the Netflix actor would reply with a request of his own that was so bonkers that Twitter users overwhelmingly embraced the concept in the form of likes and retweets. And don't worry, Harbour remained true to his promise, as Fregoso shared the photos on social media, and people on Twitter are absolutely obsessed.

"How many retweets for you take my senior photos with me," Fregoso first tweeted to the actor, who recently took home the Critic's Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role on Stranger Things (associate producer: Emily Morris). Harbour is known and loved by fans of the show for his portrayal of Chief Jim Hopper, who became something of a father figure to Eleven (played by by Millie Bobby Brown) this past season. He's followed by nearly half a million people on Twitter, and probably gets countless @ replies on the social network, but this message apparently caught Harbour's attention.

"25k," Harbour wrote in response. "And I get to wear the school sweatshirt and hold a trombone." A pretty ridiculous request, but one that people on Twitter wholeheartedly supported.

Although Fregoso only had a thousand retweets after six hours, once the official Stranger Things (executive producer: Cindy Holland) account and fellow actor Noah Schnapp tweeted in support, thousands of other fans rallied behind the cause.

Once Fregoso raked up over 25,000 retweets, Harbour announced he would fulfill his promise, tweeting,

"Holy hell, internet. How can you be in favor of this? Friends don’t lie. @posttdamaris DM me."

Now, cut to Friday, Jan. 12: The teen shared her official senior photos with Twitter, and the results are all sorts of hilarious and amazing. Not only did Harbour hijack the photo shoot, but the two of them did indeed pose with a trombone while wearing Fregoso's school sweatshirts.

The photographer, Tommy Garcia, also shared one of the epic photos noting, "I don't always take senoir [sic] portraits, but when I do, it's because @postydamaris gets 25k+ retweets and @DavidKHarbour agrees to take them with her as long as he is allowed to hold a trombone." Seriously, the expressions on Fregoso's and Harbour's faces are so epic, they look both content, while also being on the verge of bursting out in laughter.

"Voted most likely to hijack someone’s high school senior photos 24 years later," Harbour captioned an Instagram post sharing the pics. The actor continued by thanking Fregoso and Garcia in the caption:

"Many thanks to @postydamaris and her kind family and @iamtommyg photography for making a dream come true and proving my high school classmates right!"

After sharing the photos, Fresogo expressed her gratitude to the fans on Twitter who helped her reach 25,000 retweets. The high school senior wrote,

"Once again I wanna thank everyone from the bottom of my heart! I would've never met david if it wasn't for you who rt'ed! It's still hard to believe that I met him, but I thank you, for the continuous love and support on all my social medias! y'all are too sweet! much love xoxo"

Oh, and come to find out Harbour also played the trombone during the shoot, and according to Fregoso, he wasn't that bad.

According to E!, Harbour also took non-professional photos with Fregoso and her family. Talk about doing a really awesome thing for a fan in a truly hilarious and unforgettable way.
