Donald Glover's In The New 'Spider-Man' Trailer, Y'All

by Lakecia Hammond

It's the moment we've all been waiting for — or, at least, the moment that I've been waiting for. Yes, Donald Glover is in the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer, and he's even got a few tips for Peter Parker. I'm still sad that we won't get to fulfill our wishes of seeing Glover as Spider-Man, but the tips he has to offer in the latest trailer could be the clue we needed about his mystery role.

We see the dialogue between Glover and Spider-Man at the 1:30 mark, when the actor says "You gotta get better at this part of the job," and Spider-Man responds with, "I don't understand, I'm intimidating" as he crosses his arms boastfully. With a cameo so brief, it's hard to tell whether or not he'll get more screen time. Glover was once rumored to be playing Miles Morales in the film, but the short clip of the interaction makes it a tough call one way or the other.

As predicted, people took to Twitter with hearts in their eyes when they saw the triple-hyphenate star land a much anticipated cameo in the new trailer. I could barely contain myself, so it's always nice when the rest of the internet agrees with me on the awesomeness of a single moment.

Remember, we just discovered that Glover will be showrunning a Deadpool series with his brother, so this won't be the last time we hear about him collaborating with Marvel. He's also already begun the writing process in London, where the Atlanta creator is filming the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff movie.

I'm stoked about seeing how well Deadpool does following his mystery role in Spider-Man. It's safe to say that Marvel is in good hands as long as Glover is involved.
