One Tree Hill + Harassment

One Tree Hill showrunner Mark Schwahn has been accused of sexual harassment during his time on the series. 18 of the beloved show's cast and crew, including stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz, wrote a statement detailing Schwahn's allegedly abusive treatment, saying that some of them are still in treatment due to the psychological damage he allegedly inflicted. Since the letter's release, male stars Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty have voiced their support for the women. Let's hope justice gets served.

The Pink Tax + What To Know

Whether you realize it or not, women often pay 13 percent more than men on many "female" items like razors and body wash, a totally unfair phenomenon called "the pink tax." Luckily, a new subscription-based start-up called Billie is selling personal care items to women and girls without the tax, and allowing users to get a "rebate" by earning money after referring friends to the company. This is seriously awesome. For the first time ever, customers can buy a Barbie with a hijab, based off of Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, a Muslim woman who wears a hijab herself. The doll is part of Barbie's "Shero" program, which honors notable inspiring female leaders. And for so many people, making a doll based off Muhammad, a talented athlete and role model, couldn't be a better call.
