'GOT' Season 7 Just Got Complicated For Jaime & Cersei

House Lannister may be down a few members, but make no mistake they are going to be major players in Season 7. In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jaime Lannister himself, nearly revealed a major Game of Thrones Season 7 Cersei spoiler with the potential to be a game changer. During a conversation about how Cersei has never had another suitor, the star let it slip that may not be true in Season 7. In other words, it is almost definitely game on for a Cersei and Euron alliance. But what does that mean for Jaime?

The end of Season 6 left off with Jaime returning to King's Landing to find Cersei had taken the throne after wiping out the High Sparrow, his followers, and Margaery. It was clear from the worried look on Jamie's face that he knew his sister and lover has officially crossed over to the dark side. In Season 7, it may be up to Jaime to stop his sister's reign of terror — if he can find it in himself to betray the love of his life.

In his interview, Coster-Waldau explained,

"Jaime's addicted to something—almost institutionalized by a situation to where there is no other way. For Jaime, there is no other way. He's been groomed since he was 15 that, whatever his life is, it starts and ends with Cersei. He has to accommodate her. He's done that his whole life, and he's reached a moment now where he suddenly has to address it."

If Euron is headed to King's Landing to ally himself with the Queen — possibly through marriage, then Jaime's situation is only going to become more complicated as jealousy enters the equation. Both Cersei and Euron are ruthless, and they are not to going to be happy with Daenerys, Tyrion, and the Greyjoy siblings challenging their right to the throne. All of this puts Jaime in the middle because on the other side of the looming battle is both his little brother, Tyrion, and the other woman he loves, Brienne.

While Brienne hasn't joined Team Daenerys just yet, it is only a matter of time before the Starks and Daenerys unite. Once that happens, Jaime will be faced with an impossible decision — stand with his sister even as she becomes as mad as King Aerys, or side with Tyrion and Brienne in order to bring down Cersei.

There is a theory that Brienne will be the reason Jaime ultimately fulfills the prophecy of the valonqar, and kills Cersei to protect Brienne. Coster-Waldau's Daily Beast interviewer is a fan of the theory, and when it was suggested, the actor didn't shoot it down. Instead, he elaborated on the unique relationship that exists between Brienne and Jamie. Coster-Waldau said,

"It's built out of contempt, which has turned into real respect, and love—not that they would ever use that word. I think they feel very strongly for each other. I have no idea if they would ever be able to act on it, and I don’t think they would. It's all been about Cersei his whole life."

Both Jaime and Cersei have gone to extraordinary lengths to stay together. Season 7 is going to be the ultimate test of their bond. No matter how much he loves her, Jaime is the only person close enough to Cersei to end her reign, but if he does, the Kingslayer may not be able to live with himself.

One thing is certain, you should keep your eyes on this twisted pair in Season 7, because the Lannister twins are in for some major drama.
