Here's What's In The Starbucks Nitro Cascara Cloud

Ready for a new way to get your coffee fix? On Tuesday, July 11, Starbucks is releasing two new drinks exclusive to its Reserve bar locations — the Nitro Cascara Cloud and the Nitro Dirty Chai. Both sound great, but the first one seems particularly mysterious — what's in a Nitro Cascara Cloud? Both new drinks are created using Nitro Cold Brew taps, meaning your drink will be infused with nitrogen to give them a thick, velvety feel. But, there are a few more ingredients that make the Nitro Cascara Cloud stand out, including vanilla and Cascara syrup — more on that in a minute.

If you haven't heard of the Starbucks Reserve bar, these in-store bars are inspired by the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle, and are filled with all kinds of exclusive premium brews. Starbucks has been consistently creating more store locations with a Reserve bar presence throughout the United States and Canada, and estimates that Reserve bars will make up 20 percent of its locations by 2021. Find out if there's one near you here.

But, let's circle back to our new nitrogen-infused options. The Starbucks Nitro Cascara Cloud drink sounds like the perfect drink you need to start your day with. Read on to see what's in the new Starbucks Nitro Cascara Cloud drink.

1. Vanilla Bean Syrup

Any drink that starts with vanilla bean is a win for me. This flavor is a delicious addition to any food or drink.

2. Nitro Cold Brew

Believe it or not, nitrogen is frequently infused into foods and beverages — ice cream being an extremely popular option. Not only is the Nitro Cold Brew created with nitrogen, it is slowly steeped to bring out its dark chocolate body, berry notes, and rich, port-like flavor.

3. Milk And Cascara Syrup Foam

Not sure what Cascara even means? Turns out, it's Spanish for "husk." Starbucks has previously used the term for its Cascara Latte. The word is meant to describe the flavors taken from the fruit of the coffee cherry.

If you're enticed, find a Starbucks Reserve bar near you, and drink up. The Nitro Cascara Cloud drink is not one you want to miss.
