Lil Nas X caused a buzz on social media with his purple, off-the-shoulder jumpsuit and his wavy mullet, which may have been inspired by Lil’ Kim.

A host of the VMAs’ red carpet pre-show, Tinashe stunned in a half-up, half-down hairstyle featuring braided face-framing strands, a quintessential ‘90s trend.

Paris Hilton and Kim Petras brought back the super high ponytail. The blonde duo arrived (in a set of wheels, no less) in matching hairstyles and bedazzled outfits.

Flo Milli’s high ponytail and curled tendrils screamed peak ‘90s, especially with her hair wrapped around the base of the ponytail.

Bia also made a case for the high ponytail, trading her signature orange locks for a platinum blonde shade and separating her face-framing strands into a ‘90s-style middle part.

Fresh off her win for Song Of The Year, Olivia Rodrigo performed her hit “good 4 u” in a very ‘90s hairstyle: her long, wavy locks featured braided pieces on either side, complete with little hair clips pinned in throughout.

Kourtney Kardashian didn’t just go for the middle part. She pulled her new bob back into an updo, but left two tiny, face-framing strands — just like you used to do back in the day.
