It may officially be autumn as we head into October and the later fall months, but Southern California residents are still enjoying the dog days of summer by — how else?— taking Instagram-worthy selfies by the pool. Interestingly enough, one of Kylie Jenner's latest poolside Instagram featured a crystal garter, playing up the the body chain trend we've all been seeing so much of lately. Body chains have been steadily growing in popularity for a while now, but will the Jenner sister stamp of approval finally make them the must-have accessory for the fall?
After all, the younger younger Jenner sister has always have quite the carefully and meticulously curated (and of course, branded) Instagram accounts, and there isn't a trend out there that she hasn't tried — from killer black bikinis, to Barbie-inspired manis, to a whole parade of new looks, girl has (almost literally) done it all. Plus, add her sexy poolside (and did I mention sparkly?) body chains to Natalie Portman's recent outing in filigree jewelry-armor at the Toronto International Film Festival (courtesy of none other than the Fall 2015 Christian Dior Couture line), and you might have yourself a bona fide new accessory sensation. Here is Jenner's latest body chain look.
Pretty fab, no? If you're interested in making the chain your own, that's totally possible.
Luckily for us, Kylie included the Instagram handle of the designer behind her newest accessory, so it's pretty easy to cop her style. Unluckily for us? The sparkly body jewelry comes at a pretty steep price tag.
Here are some options if a $250 body chain isn't really your thing (or in your budget).
This gold number definitely has a more delicate vibe than Jenner's garter, but I'm sure it would look equally good poolside!
Ditto this minimalistic take on the trend (plus, it's only $10).
You know Kylie would dig the tough girl vibe going on here.
It doesn't get much better than tiny gold leaves now, does it? Plus, I feel like this could potentially be the perfect finishing touch for your Game of Thrones-inspired Halloween costume this year.
You can never go wrong with galaxy-inspired jewelry in my book.
Now, here's some Xena, Warrior Princess-level jewelry game.
Intricate, delicate, and just plain pretty.
Very, very, very cool.
Who knew simple and utilitarian ball chain could look this badass?
See? Easy enough. Now upload a photo to Instagram, and you're good to go.
