6 Times 'Real Housewives' Feuds Went Off-Camera

by Marenah Dobin

Sometimes people question the validity of reality television. They question what is genuine and if there are aspects that are contrived for TV. These thoughts are especially prevalent in a franchise like Real Housewives, but, I mean, it does have the word "real" in the title so that's pretty promising at least. But seriously, there is one aspect that lets me know how very real the shows are and that is the fact that conflict spills into their lives when the cameras are not rolling. The ladies seem to have the same issues with each other whether Bravo is filming or not. There have been plenty of times that Real Housewives feuds have spread off camera. Nothing shows how genuine the conflict is like the ladies are still getting into it in interviews, on social media, and in other public places. There is nothing fake about these conflicts. The feuds and shade are very real.

The ladies listed here really do (or did) have animosity toward each other and it's hard to tell where Real Housewives ends and real life begins. There really is a lot of drama involved at all times. But then again, that makes sense: They were cast on these shows for a reason. They ignite controversy whether the cameras are rolling or not.

1. Kim Richards' Dog Kingsley Attacks Kyle's Daughter Alexia

I never thought that a dog could incite so much conflict, but Kim's dog Kingsley put a major wedge in her relationship with sister Kyle. Kingsley attacked Kyle's daughter Alexia, who was hospitalized from the attack. Kyle was livid that Kim was not able to control the dog and Kim vented in the reunion show that she thinks Kyle exploited the situation for social media attention.

2. Dina Manzo, Caroline Manzo, & Jacqueline Laurita Get Into A Family Feud

No one really knows why sisters Dina and Caroline Manzo were not speaking from Season 2 on, because they never really addressed it. There was speculation that the siblings had a falling out over Dina Manzo's friendship with Caroline's enemy Teresa Giudice for a while. And at the Season 6 Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, Dina alluded that her relationship with her sister was damaged because of something that involved her sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita. And once again this all happened off camera, so no one actually knows what happened. It is the most interesting, yet vague Real Housewives drama out there.

3. Yolanda Foster & Lisa Rinna Argue On Twitter Over Yolanda's Kids

We all know about Yolanda and Lisa getting into it on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills about Housewives questions whether Yolanda's kids Anwar and Bella Hadid really have Lyme Disease. And apparently months after filming the tension is still there. The two recently got in a heated Twitter battle over it.

Yolanda tweeted, “Oh poor thing, u went from accusing someone of munchausen to playing d victim….? I think & ask bf I speak, do u." Lisa responded, "If your #KidsAreOffLimits why did YOU bring them up on national television? Just curious. Take responsibility."

Yolanda continues to stick up for her children's Lyme disease struggle, writing on her blog, "I can't accept something so delicate as my children's health being talked about in such a way. I know I'm not the only mother who would speak to this… It's one thing when your integrity is doubted, spoken of behind your back, but it strikes another cord when it's your children." This feud is definitely getting serious.

4. Megan Edmonds & Vicki Gunvalson Feud About A Lunch With Jeana Keough

Vicki Gunvalson has a tumultuous past with former Real Housewives of Orange County star Jeana Keough, and it's always pretty unclear whether the two are on good terms or not. So when Vicki posted a photo of the two out to lunch with a shady caption reading, "Surrounding myself with the original HW that actually is not evil. #friends, #wantthebestforeachother, #family, #workingwomen, #bothsinglenow," current Real Housewife Meghan Edmonds was offended and decided to stir the pot and call Vicki out for back stabbing Jeana and refusing to film with her. And the two continued to go at it on Twitter, of course.

5. LuAnn de Lesseps & Carole Radziwill Go At It On Twitter

It's no secret that LuAnn feels like Carole violated girl code when she started dating her chef, Adam, who is also LuAnn's niece's ex-boyfriend. The tension between the two has not ceased, and they look for pretty much any excuse to keep it going, from reunion shows to interviews to social media. LuAnn once tweeted, "You're a disgrace and embarssing [sic] to women our age" and Carole Radziwill responded, saying, "Luann never tells this daarrrling who she's banging but then again who could keep track."

6. Every Person Ever Comes For Vicki Gunvalson

Even though RHOC is in between seasons, people will never get over VIcki's ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers' cancer claims and everyone and their grandmother questions Vicki's involvement in what many of the cast members allege is just a big lie. Vicki's fellow Housewives have been pissed off to say the least. Meghan tweeted about her, Shannon and Tamra have spoken about her in interviews, and Heather publicly demanded an apology. Meanwhile, Brooks continues to stand by his cancer claims and has defended himself in many interviews.

This just shows you how "real" Real Housewives really is. The drama never stops. Whether the cameras are rolling or not, the feuds still continue in a very public fashion.
