You've Gotta Try The Birthday Cake Frapp

Are you in the mood to party? Because your favorite coffee chain is bringing back a very festive treat, and you're going to want to know exactly when the Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino is available so you can get your hands on one, ASAP. The drink is basically cake in a cup (that's not an exaggeration — it tastes exactly like a frosted funfetti cake), and like most Starbucks novelty treats, it's only here for a limited time. The Starbucks Birthday Cake Frapp returns to stores April 28 through May 2 — that's only five days, for those of you counting — so mark you calendars because the window for celebrating is small.

This isn't the first time the Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino has graced us with its presence. It first debuted last spring in honor of the Frappuccino's 20th birthday (my lil baby, all grown up), and for understandable reasons, people kind of freaked out over it. Why? Because it's so good, you guys. The drink is made with a vanilla bean base, and then hazelnut is added to give the drink its birthday cake flavor. It's kind of like barista magic, because this Frappuccino tastes incredibly just like its dessert namesake. Oh, and there's pink whipped cream. No one can say "no" to pink whipped cream. No one.

The creme-based drink is caffeine-free, but if you want a little bit of coffee thrown in there, just ask your barista. The Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino runs between $4.25 and $4.95 for a tall (the price varies by market), and is available at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada.

In the meantime, you can also swing by Starbucks and pick up a S'mores Frappuccino, if you're looking for another dessert-inspired beverage. This one comes with chocolate sauce and marshmallow-infused whipped cream, which I don't want to say is the best thing ever, but, well, it's kind of the best thing ever. Oh, Starbucks. You just get me like no one else does.
