Justin Bieber Shares His Bill Nye The Science Guy Obsession & He's Never Been More Relatable
When it comes to Instagram, Justin Bieber is known for posting old photos of Selena Gomez. Any time he does, it sparks Jelena reunion rumors all over again. However, usually it's nothing more than a snapshot of someone who used to be a big part of his life. Now, there's another person appearing in the Biebs' Insta posts, but nope, it's not Gomez. On Sunday, Bieber gushed over Bill Nye the Science Guy. Yes, you read that correctly. Suddenly, I've never related to him more. I'm sure my fellow '90s kids agree that Bill Nye helped make science fun. Along with the photo, Bieber wrote,
Out of all the people that he could want to meet, I'm a bit surprised by the "Sorry" singer's choice. Only because I had no idea he was so interested in science. Or maybe he got jealous that DJ Khaled hung out with Bill Nye at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner. Regardless, I can't imagine it would be difficult to arrange a hangout between the two. Couldn't the 22-year-old's publicist connect him with anyone? If I were Nye, I'd be honored to be Bieber's "homie." I'm crossing my fingers that the two hang out ASAP.
However, I must admit that upon seeing the photo, I wasn't sure if Bieber's account had been hacked or he was spewing out some serious truths. It just felt so random. Immediately, a certain song came to mind to sum up my feelings on all of this:
What do you mean, Bieber? What does all of this mean? Especially because the Instagrams got even better. He also shared a photo of actor Taye Diggs, along with the following caption: "Taye Diggs when you smile I smile." This may be incredibly out of the blue, but I do appreciate the sentiment. It's a nice throwback to JB's old lyrics, too. Remember his 2010 song "U Smile"?
Since Bieber spent part of the weekend with Drake, I think it'd be amazing to see a dinner party featuring Biebs, Drizzy, Bill Nye, and Diggs. That would be a great (albeit random) group. Seriously, if it happens, I expect an invite in the mail.
