'Bachelorette' JoJo Knows About Jordan's Family

by Caitlin Gallagher

Jordan Rodgers isn't afraid of a little name dropping when it comes to his famous quarterback brother on The Bachelorette, much to the amusement or annoyance of some of Bachelor Nation. But does JoJo know who Jordan's brother is? Although he has referred to his brother — quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers — on camera, the series hasn't shown Jordan directly talking to JoJo about it. As she's the woman he's pursuing, it wouldn't be that strange for him to try to use that information to his advantage, but to his credit, The Bachelorette hasn't shown him name dropping Aaron to JoJo. So, does JoJo know the skinny on one of the frontrunners of her season?

Considering that Jordan received the first impression rose when JoJo's season of The Bachelorette premiered, it appeared he didn't need his connections to the NFL (which includes his own brief stint as a professional football player) to win over JoJo. However, JoJo actually knew about Jordan's family before the show even started filming, as she told Entertainment Tonight. She found out when the information was leaked online (even JoJo gets The Bachelorette spoiled for her and it's her damn season). But she claimed it did not affect her opinion toward Jordan, saying, "I don't follow football closely, so it's not like it made a huge difference, but I definitely knew that about him going into it."

She said the same thing to ABC News about knowing about Jordan, but also mentioned how Jordan did not bring up his brother or career initially when they met in person on the show. "I didn’t know what to expect from him. I knew that he was cute and I knew that he had some sort of fame but it didn't really play a factor in our relationship right off the bat," JoJo told the outlet. "And night one I was expecting that to be a story with Jordan but he didn't lead with that." She also told ABC News that Jordan was "his own man," an indication that Jordan's brother's fame wasn't necessary to woo her.

While Jordan has been criticized for not being on the show for the "right reasons," I'm more of the mindset that everyone who goes on the show is pursuing some sort of fame because honestly, are all of these people delusional enough to think this is the best way to find love? Methinks not. But I would say that from what has been featured on the show, JoJo does not seem to really care that she could potentially end up being in-laws with Olivia Munn and is attracted to Jordan because he has been coming off as a reasonably sane, functional, and attractive human being — unlike some of the other men (*cough* Chad and Daniel *cough*).

Yet, if you are wanting a moment between JoJo and Jordan where they openly discuss his ties to the NFL, it might be coming soon. During the June 6 episode, a clip shows that Jordan does open up to JoJo (whether Jordan is being genuine or not is debatable) and he mentions his "career." He doesn't state specifically that he was in the NFL, but Bachelor Nation should go into watching this moment knowing that JoJo is fully aware of what high-profile career he's talking about.

If Jordan keeps being a frontrunner on The Bachelorette and makes it to the hometown dates, then JoJo and Jordan should most certainly discuss his quarterback brother, but until then, JoJo looks like she'll continue to keep it classy and not focus on Jordan's brother's fame.
