10 American Horror Story Halloween Makeup Tutorials To Help You Rep Your Favorite Character — VIDEOS
Besides Halloween, one of the other main events to look forward to this time of year is a new season of American Horror Story. But how about combining the two? Because as fans of the show probably know, American Horror Story character makeup makes for some of the best Halloween costumes. The only issue is choosing which character to portray. After all, with five seasons completed and a sixth in our midsts, there are tons of great options.
Every season of AHS has turned out some pretty creepy and cool looks, from the classic Murder House characters to the vampire-inspired Hotel guests. And whether you have the SFX thing down, or need a more beginners-level tutorial, there are still a variety of looks that you can choose from to channel your favorite AHS character this Halloween. As for me? I'm totally digging Shachath. Those Angel of Death wings are everything. That is, unless a new season six character steals my heart before Halloween officially rolls around. So you can decide which AHS character you should be on All Hallows' Eve, here are 10 impressive tutorials to follow or draw inspiration from. No matter your choice, you really can't go wrong.
Murder House: Tate
Although this makeup will require more time and patience to complete, Tate's killing-spree look is pretty perfect for Halloween.
Murder House: Moira
One of my favorite characters, there are plenty of ways to be Moira for Halloween. Whether you want to be young Moira, old Moira, or Moira with her eye shot out, any of these looks is golden.
Asylum: The White Nun
While this look requires going a little heavier on the body paint, it sure has that creepy factor.
Being one of the student witches from Coven is perfect for a last-minute Halloween costume or if you want to complete a look with products and pieces you probably already own.
If you want to try your hand with some SFX makeup, why not go as Cordelia after she had acid thrown in her face?
Freak Show: Circus Makeup
I don't know about you, but I can't say no to rhinestones and a vampy lip. This Freak Show poster look is a winner.
Freak Show: Twisty The Clown
If you want to go all out and have a steady hand, try Twisty the Clown on for size. Just be prepared to potentially scare yourself if you pass any mirrors.
Hotel: Hypodermic Sally
Is '90s makeup still your jam? You can't go wrong with Sally's crimped hair and deep lip.
Hotel: The Countess
There's nothing like a little blood and glamour to complete a Halloween look.
Because sometimes the promotional posters have looks that are just as perfect as ones from the actual show.
Stay spooky, my friends.
